Barack Obama, Poet

Obama's college poetry revealed in Talk of the Town, complete with Freudian interpretation from Naomi Wolf-molester Harold Bloom:

Underground

Under water grottos, caverns
Filled with apes
That eat figs.
Stepping on the figs
That the apes
Eat, they crunch.
The apes howl, bare
Their fangs, dance,
Tumble in the
Rushing water,
Musty, wet pelts
Glistening in the blue.

Thanks to Rich Yeselson for alerting me to a mistake - Naomi Wolf quite different from Naomi Klein. Of course.

Comments

I like the concreteness of everything here... apes, figs, crunching. If only we saw more of that in his speeches.

LOL. Thanks for coming by, Neil.
